I first became aware of the GeoCaching sport in May 2002 when I read an article in the local newspaper about it. It sounded like so much fun that I went right out and bought a GPSr (Global Positioning System Receiver), a simple, low-end Garmin ETrex. During the summer, I discovered the Cach-U-Nuts's website and the BINGO game that was just finished. Luckily, another round of the BINGO game was about to start, so I got LadyLeAnn, LordSteven, and I registered separately in the game. It turns out that LadyLeAnn won one of the bingos and LordSteven won to two last ones. That was a hoot. Also, the Cach-U-Nuts have an ongoing game called "Are U Nuts?" in which you try to find different nut figures they've created in the caches around the state. Points are awarded for finding and moving the nuts. At the first ever Utah Geocachers Association meeting (actually it was to organize the association) in August, 2002, there was a Prize Drawing for several nice prizes donated for the event. The top prize was a nice GPSr that Mr. CachUNut donated (he had more than he needed). Anyway, I was Mr. Lucky that day and won the top prize. I also won two of the Travel Bugs given away. -- SirGerald
